In-House Design Team

The In-house Design Team course is an innovation project run by a team of design students, forming their own design studio located inside the client’s company. The MSc-students work on a strategic challenge for their client. The project requires design based entrepreneurial behavior, meaning that the student team has to consider itself as being a start-up under the wings of the corporate client.

Unilever was our ‘launching customer’ in 2012. Since then we collaborated with Liberty Global, Heineken, Shell, LeasePlan, Aegon & Actiforce.

Over the years 35 teams of 5/6 students participated in this course. In the near future we expect to go beyond our design school and open up to participation by students from other engineering programs, like Aerospace, Marine, Mechanical, Civil.
